About Anna:
My clinical journey began in 2017, providing services to diverse pediatric populations with speech and language disorders. I've worked with children aged 2-months to 21-years across various settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, schools, Birth to Three home-based visits, and telepractice. I've implemented bilingual and bimodal language intervention approaches for native Polish-speaking and American Sign Language communicators.
I've had the privilege of serving patients with a wide range of disorders, including articulation/phonological processes/motor speech sound disorders, voice disorders, receptive-expressive language disorders, fluency disorders, social-pragmatic communication disorders, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and devices, central auditory processing disorder, swallowing/feeding disorders, and specialized populations such as individuals who are blind, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Dandy Walker Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Treacher Collins Syndrome, pre and post-operative cleft lip/palate, tracheostomy dependent, and traumatic brain injury patients.
Throughout my career, I've emphasized the importance of caregiver involvement in facilitating successful communication for their children. I believe in empowering caregivers through child-centered care, individualized home programs, and evidence-based intervention strategies to help children gain confidence in their communication skills.
I'm also a proponent of maintaining an interdisciplinary approach to services. I've collaborated with occupational therapists, physical therapists, audiologists, ABA/BCBA providers, classroom teachers, otolaryngologists (ear, nose, throat doctors), developmental behavioral pediatricians, and colleagues within the speech-language pathology field. This collaborative approach has allowed me to integrate a variety of strategies to enhance positive outcomes and promote carryover of skills for children. In addition, I am a graduate student clinical supervisor and provide support to graduate student clinicians as they work towards completing their graduate degree in Speech Language Pathology.
In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, traveling with my husband, capturing moments with my aussiedoodle named Amy, painting, and cooking.
